Richard touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Richard’s presence will be missed, the influence he had on others will remain. Those who knew him will carry forward memories that reflect his character and spirit.
He was predeceased by: his wife Alma Laura Griffin; his parents, Samuel Derward Griffin and Virginia Lorane; and his stepfather William Arthur Christenbury. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Jef Reagan (Paula), Keith Reagan (Lisa) and Jennifer Utne (Bruce). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, he requests donations be made to the Coast Guard Foundation.
