We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2025, Robert Johnson Moorefield of Yorktown, Virginia, born in Scottsburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Doris H. Moorefield; his parents, Jesse James and Katie Moorefield; his siblings, Jesse, Joe Moorefield, Thelma Powel and Audrey Culley; and his grandchildren, Chris Whitmere and Austin Craver.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Bass (Sandy), Wayne Moorefield (Mary Lou), Mary "Dinky" Foley (Charlie) and Rodney Moorefield (Josyph); his siblings, Polly Covington and Alton "Sonny" Snead; his grandchildren, Dustin Rowe (Erin), Johanna Burger (Dave), Jermy Foley (Megan), Jamie Foley (Erin), Roseann Whitmire (Jeff) and Shelby Moorefield; and his close friend Sheila. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Amory Funeral Home Chapel (410 Grafton Dr, Yorktown, VA 23692). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
