She was predeceased by: her parents, Georgia Marie Coward (Sassen) and Woodrow James McElroy; her husband George Kemper Hicks Sr.; and her sister Jeanne M. Tison. She is survived by: her children, Melanie Kaye Hicks (Bill) and George Kemper Hicks Jr. (Deanna) of Gloucester, VA; her grandson Dylan Kemper Hicks (Ashley); and her great grandchild George Kemper Hicks III of Gwynn's Island.
