He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ely Lowe and Lettie Yeary Lowe; and his siblings, Brenda, Mildred, Sylvia, Christine and Denver.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Slate Lowe; his children, Kim Marie Terhune (Greg), Dawn Lee Whitley (David) and James Curtis Lowe, Jr.; his grandchildren, Amanda (Colt), Rebecca, Rachel, Charlotte and Casey; his great grandchild Wyatt; and his brother-in-law Donald Slate. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the VFW Post 4411, 3385 Beaver Dam Road, Franklin, VA 23851, where he was a life member.
