She was predeceased by: her husband Lloyd E Gaskins, Sr.; her parents, Algie B. Ward, Sr. and Elizabeth Culpepper Ward; and her siblings, Frances Ward Old and A. B. "Buddy" Ward, Jr..

She is survived by: her sons, Lloyd Ervin Gaskins, Jr. (Angela), George T. Gaskins (Tracie) and William Joseph Flanagan-Gaskins (Michael); and her sisters, Rosalie Hoblit and Mary Elizabeth Ward. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
