He is survived by: his wife Connie Whisenant Carr; his children, Trisha Mulder (Marshall), Elizabeth Ann Carr, Angel Hatfield (Jamie) and Joseph Carr (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Clifton Carr (Samantha), Mary Oakley (Logan), Marshall Hatfield, Ashton Hatfield, David Carr, Charles Carr and Michael Carr; his great grandchild Bristol; his sisters, Anita Jordan (Ralph) and Kathy Bryant (Clint); and his pet Scarlett.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory (206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Black Creek Baptist Church (34163 Vicksville Rd, Franklin, VA 23851). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 2:45 PM at the Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (34163 Vicksville Rd, Franklin, VA 23851).
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday at Wright Funeral Home and suggests that in lieu of flowers, any memorial donations be made to Black Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 34163 Vicksville Road, Franklin, VA 23851.
