He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonse Sawyer and Catherine Sawyer (Tomasini); his daughter Tianna Miranda-Gomez; his brother Fred Zera; and his grandson Ryan Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Zera of Ascutney; his daughter Heather Carter; his sister Donna Zera; his grandchildren, Aiden, Rylee, Madison and Austin Carter; his siblings-in-law, Ellie Malone, Deborah and Bill Hesketh; his nieces and nephews, Christine, Brian, Allie, Paul, Chad and Erin; and his close friend Harley. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
