The passing of Gary C. Brown (Barre, Vermont) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 4, 2025 at the age of 71. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Brown and Nancy Brown (Hawthorne); his brother Maurice (Beverly Brown); his niece Christy Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Carlyle and Tom Companion.
He is survived by: his brother Curly; his wife Cheryl Brown; his daughter Cherilyn Brown (Josh Lanfear); his granddaughters, Cortney (David Diego) and Caitlyn Bandy; his great grandchildren, Jason Diego, Charlie Diego, Everly Cramer and Amelia Cramer; his sister Susan Companion (Pete Wood); his nieces, Angela Brown, Karen Brown, Jessica Nichols and Jocelyn Brooker; his nephew-in-law Cliff Frates; his nephew Paul Brown; his cousin Dale Spooner; his sister-in-law Sarah Carlyle; his siblings' children, Brian and Kerri; and his son Cooper. He is also survived by brothers and sisters in-laws. And he leaves behind his Golden.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Canadian Club (414 E Montpelier Rd, Barre, VT 05641).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his grandson Charlie Diego's hockey team, 10U Black Bears Tier 3 Team.
