John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hooker and Jeanette Hooker; his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Coxon; and his sisters, Jacqueline Swartz and Judith Safford.
He is survived by: his children, Scout, Tammy Hooker and John Hooker (Colleen); and his grandchildren, Brienne and Daxton. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews; and countless honorary sons and daughters.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (19 S Seminary St, Barre, VT 05641).
