We announce the death of Sheila Iris McMillan (Barre, Vermont), who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 79. Sheila will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Sheila will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Sheila will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Sheila’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Philbrook and Lucille Philbrook; and her brothers, Gregg and Gary Katsakiores. She is survived by: her son Allen McMillan of Barre; her grandchildren, Arianna Pennente of Garnet Valley and Drake McMillan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her siblings, Glenn Philbrook of New Port Richey, Florida and Karen Clark of Derry; and her significant other Neil Cilley of West Topsham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Vermont Humane Society, 1589 VT Route 14 S, East Montpelier, VT 05651, in recognition of Sheila's love for animals.
