Steven G. Maxfield Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven G. Maxfield of Barre, Vermont, who passed away on July 15, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Maxfield and Roxane Maxfield (Wheeler); and his grandparents, Leroy, Rose Wheeler, Harry and Leah Maxfield.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Maxfield of Montpelier; his son-in-law Lance Duquette; his grandsons, Max and Abe Duquette; and his sister Bonnie George (Al) of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Elks Club.
Memorial contributions can be made in Steve's memory and in honor of his grandsons to the Glades Foundation, which provides financial assistance to youth hockey players participating in the Vermont Junior Catamounts organization at 28 Tarbox Rd., Jericho, VT 05465.
