He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Constance Elizabeth Gilwee. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Newcombe of Mary's Church; his sons, Bryan Edward Gilwee (Vicki), John Scott Gilwee (Jennifer) and Todd William Gilwee (Wendy); his grandchildren, Matthew Gilwee (Kendall Henderson), Owen Gilwee (Sian Titmuss), Cameron Gilwee (Denver Heath), Aidan Gilwee, Meghan Gilwee and Catherine Gilwee; his siblings-in-law, David Emery Newcombe (David Chawk) and Bette Gilwee; and his nieces and nephews, Karen Goodrich, Karen Bath, Douglas Newcombe, Elizabeth Brown and Adam Brown.
