With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard A. Knecht of Bennington, Vermont, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on February 27, 2024 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard A. Knecht to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Rodney Knecht and Alice Knecht (Whitney); his stepfather George Lamb; and his brothers, David and William.
He is survived by : his wife Judy Knecht (Michnich) of North Bennington; his daughters, Karen Mera (Vic), Kelly Valdez (Chris) and Kerry Knecht O'Connor (Dan Russell); and his nephew David, Jr.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
