He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Clark Hoyt, Sr. and Rose Ellen Willis; his wife Margaret Pilling Hoyt; his daughter Deborah Oakes Ernst; his brothers, Cyril Hoyt, Jr., Thomas and Frederick Hoyt; and his grandsons, Jason Vaine, Eric Oakes and Ronald Oakes, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Hoyt of Bennington, Kevin Hoyt of Essex, VT and Ellen Vaine (Howard) of Shaftsbury; his siblings, Dwayne, Gene, James, Ralph Hoyt, Anne Benini and Irene Burke; and his grandchildren, Brian Vaine, Dylan Hoyt, Jayde Gooding, Payton Hoyt, Skyler Hoyt, Kolby Hoyt and Jamie Brandi. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home (213 Main St, Bennington, VT 05201).
