He was predeceased by: his brother David Coons. He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Cunningham and Heather Adams; his stepdaughter Lisa Adams; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Paul Cunningham, Madison and Anna White; his great grandchild Nessa Mae; his sister Leanna Harper; his nephews, Bob and Michael Coons; his niece Liz Kellogg; and his friends, Roger Baker and Jim Labadie.
