He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sterling and Mary Abbott Sterling; his in-laws, Bill and Belle Dupre; his sister Sherry Heinrichs; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Dupre, Jerry Brisson, Connie Chapman (Dupre) and Lee Dupre.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances (Muffie); his daughter Peggy (Jim Zopelis); his grandchildren, Claire, Grace and Lily; his son Rob (Audrey); his granddaughter Harriet; his great grandchild Christen (Paul LaFountain); his siblings, Marianne Seymour, Jon (Tamara) and Terry; his brothers-in-law, Bob Douglas and Bill Dupre; Bella and Hudson. He is also survived by His nieces and nephews.
Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to the Brandon Food Shelf and the Brandon Area Rescue Squad.
