She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Daniel Patrick and Geraldine Margaret Murphy (Crean); her spouse James McAlister; her children, Shamus McAlister (Mary) of Hinsdale, Kathryn Young (Robert) of Mansfield and Geraldine Hopkins (Rick) of Brunswick; her siblings, Sylvester Murphy of Brattleboro, James Murphy of Hinsdale, Liam Murphy of Charlotte, Kathleen Wellington of Hinsdale, Margaret Bober of Brattleboro and Bridget Leclaire of Chesterfield; her grandchildren, Stephen, Meghan Hopkins, Taylor and Paige Young; her pet Smokey; and her siblings, Donal Murphy, Thomas Murphy and Geraldine "Dinah" Dromgoole (Murphy). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
