HAROLD GEARY Obituary

It is with great sadness that I announce the death of HAROLD (Sonney) GEARY (my husband of 56 years), born in Rutland, Vermont, who passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 79.

Known to everyone as Sonney he was well liked and loved by many of his friends. Sonney was the Past Worthy President of the Eagles, Aerie 3970 and member of the American Legion Post 49 in Fair Haven. He was a master plumber for many years in Rutland County, joined the National Guard in 1967 USAMedTC 4th US Army, training at Fort Sam Houston, TX as a Medical Army Corpsman and received Sharpshooter (Rifle) Medal, a skill he carried through to his love for hunting.

Sonney has left this earth, with a legacy that endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in our darkest of hours. May his spirit find eternal peace, his memory forever cherished by all of us.
Left behind are his wife Cindy, son Steven, sister Judy, his four grandchildren and his nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly.
