James C. Bremer Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James C. Bremer (Burlington, Vermont), who passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James C. Bremer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad "Dutch" Petrich and Pat Petrich; his aunts and uncles, Marie Petrich, Carol Bremer, Nancy Bremer, Jeri Loughlin, George Petrich, Carl Bremer and Craig Bremer; his cousin Dana Bremer; his friends, Tom Cook, Jim Rice and Craig Eschelback; and his pets, Neeko, Midnight and Budie.

He is survived by: his sisters, Jen Armstrong (Scott) and Susan Cohn (Scott); his siblings' children, Aislynn, Corey, Declan and Kelley; his friend Steve Baker; Emily Myers (Bobby), Jeret Bushey (Katelyn), Katie Thigpen (Justin) and Stacie Baker. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and devoted friends who were his chosen family.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Services South Chapel (261 Shelburne Rd, Burlington, VT 05401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (30 Lincoln St, Essex Junction, VT 05452).
