With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Malcolm Floyd Severance (Burlington, Vermont), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Malcolm left this world on November 24, 2025 at the age of 101, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Herbert Severance and Juanita Bombard Severance; and his sisters, Wilma Patton, Joyce Sweeney and Jean Lawrence.
He is survived by: his children, Lyn Severance (Bill Harvey) of Burlington, Vt., Mark Severance (Sarah Whitney) of Colchester and Dawn Severance (George Schildge) of Colchester; and his grandchildren, Jill Severance, Raychel Severance, Jackson Harvey and Henry Severance. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Corbin & Palmer (9 Pleasant St, Essex Junction, VT 05452). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (81 St Paul St, Burlington, VT 05401).
For those who would like to honor Malcolm, memorial donations may be made to the Vermont Symphony Orchestra or the Malcolm and Gladys Severance Graduate Excellence Fund through the University of Vermont Foundation.
