It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark Colin DeVarney of Burlington, Vermont, who passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn DeVarney and Reginald DeVarney; his grandparents, Ethel, Raymond Gutchell, Hermine and Edward DeVarney; and his nephew Christopher Little.
He is survived by: his siblings, Paula Little (Frank), Craig DeVarney (Carol), JohnDeVarney (Patricia) and James DeVarney (Susan); and his caregivers, Fanny Allen and Elderwood.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Services South Chapel (261 Shelburne Rd, Burlington, VT 05401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mark's Catholic Church (1251 North Ave, Burlington, VT 05408). A burial was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the New Mt. Calvary Cemetery (79 Plattsburg Ave, Burlington, VT 05408).
