She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Shepard and Hilda Shepard (Cushing); her husband Reginald Lavalette; her son Glenn Lavalette; her son-in-law Jeffrey Real; and her siblings, Arthur, Eugene, Clayton, Floyd, Carl, Edward, Jerry, Douglas and Marie.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Lewis (Jack), Randy Lavalette, Kim Real and Amy Delorme; her granddaughters, Nikki Lavalette, Ashley Real, Jessica Holmes (Peter), Alicia Delorme and Kayla Militi (Kurt); her great grandchildren, Addison, Bentley, Ashton, Hayden, Wade and Parker; and her brothers, Lynn Shepard (Ann) and Neil Shepard (Barbara). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Resurrection Park Cemetery (200 Hinesburg Rd, South Burlington, VT 05403). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at the Essex VFW Post 6689.
