He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Doris Fischer Westervelt. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Tony Smith of Ponte Vedra, FL; and his nieces and nephews, Ted (Aimee Storm) of Washington, DC, Mary (David Adler) of El Cerrito, CA, David (Christine Lee) of Arcadia, CA and Anna (Jared Blum) of Montpelier, VT. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
