He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Bernier and Ruth Bernier (Gushea); and his brother Donald Bernier. He is survived by: his wife Jean Bernier (Kennedy); his children, David Bernier Jr. and Deanna Perreault (Timothy); his grandchildren, David Y. Bernier, Julia Bernier, Zebulon Perreault and Ella Perreault; and his sister Donna Jewett (Maurice).
