He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Lane and Lawrence Lane. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Michael Lane (Kelley) and Kathleen Schirling (Michael); his grandchildren, Alex Schirling (Tiffany), Hannah Schirling (Isaac), Spencer Lane (Davilyn) and Ashleigh Sammataro (David); his great grandchildren, Aria Schirling, Ella Schirling and Josie Sammataro; and his siblings-in-law, Katherine Leahy and David Leahy.
He began his career in the grocery business at the age of twelve in his father's meat market and continued until the pandemic when he retired from Price Chopper.
