She was predeceased by: her parents, Orphier Roberts and Rose Roberts (Godbout); her husband Marshall M. Krans, Jr.; her siblings, William, Richard, James, Shirley and Mae; and her granddaughter Allison.
She is survived by: her children, Michael (Susan Krans), Debra (Brian Montgomery), Sherry Reed (William H. Newton, Jr.), Mark Krans of Brandon, VT, Jay and Janis Krans (Audet) of Bristol, VT; her sister Beverly Zivitski of Williston, VT; and her caregivers, James and Blaine. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (7415 Williston Rd, Williston, VT 05495). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the East Cemetery (8807 Williston Rd, Williston, VT 05495).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joan's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 75 Talcott Road STE 40, Williston, VT 05495.
