In loving memory of Rita L. Deforge of Colchester, Vermont, who departed this world on July 4, 2025 at the age of 100. Rita leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Marie Boucher; her husband Rene Deforge; her daughter Blanche Marie; her brothers, Ovid, Laramee and Johnny Boucher; her stepsister Anita King; her son-in-law Armand Bezio; and her granddaughter Mandy LaRocque.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alice Parker (Stan) of Winooski, Pauline Bezio of Colchester and Theresa LaRocque (Donald) of Colchester; her sister Jeanette Thibault of Winooski; her grandchildren, Danielle Kane of Winooski, Chantal Bitzer of Winooski, Todd, Scott Bezio of Winooski and Renee Hammond of Plattsburgh, NY; her great grandchildren, Parker, Titus, Kayla and Morgan; and her great great grandchild Isaac. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the LaVigne Funeral & Cremation Service (132 Main St, Winooski, VT 05404). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (3 St Peter St, Winooski, VT 05404). A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis Cemetery (300 Weaver St, Winooski, VT 05404).
