She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Whalen and Cecile Whalen (Foose); and her husband Lawrence D. Compagnon. She is survived by: her children, Lawrence "Chip" of Colchester, Jason (Brittni) of Milton, Catherine McClellan (Artie) of Milton and Jennifer Thibault (Eric) of Milton; her grandchildren, Michael, Christopher McClellan, Alexis and Leslie Thibault; her great grandchildren, Bowen and Levi McClellan; her siblings, Joanne Cheng (Whalen) of Burlington, Ann Krasofski (Gary) of Shelburne, MaryLou "Mitzi" Larson (Greg) of Arizona and Thomas Whalen of Burlington; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara LeBlanc (Richard) of Pennsylvania and Paul Compagnon (Rose) of Williston. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (416 Church Rd, Colchester, VT 05446).
