She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Clark and Herbert Peel; her husband Wendell R. Somers; Herbert Peel. She is survived by: her daughter Mary Cote (Mark Cote); her grandchildren, Falon Cote (Devin Fontaine), Merrick Cote and Albert Vieira; her brother Frederick "Fred" Peel; her friend Viola; and her close friend Deb Peck. She is also survived by her niece and nephew; and friends.
In memory of Kathy and her lifelong fondness for cats, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter or rescue organization that provides care for homeless and abandoned cats.
