He was predeceased by: his parents, Laine C. Vance and Eleanor Marie Vance (Fahy); his sons, Curtis Vance and Charles; his brother Reginald Vance; and his nephews, Jeff Vance and Dickie Vance.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Vance of Danville; his sons, Christopher Vance (Pam) of Danville, Craig Vance (Samantha) of Danville, Cary Vance of Litchfield, NH and Carl Vance (Amber) of West Danville; his daughter-in-law Heidi Erdmann Vance McCann of Simsbury, CT; his siblings, Richard Vance (Danville), Robert Vance (Mary Jean) of Burlington, VT, Ross Vance of Danville, Roland Vance (Laurie) of Amherst, NH, Jane Braley (Kevin) of Sebago, ME and Russell Vance (Debbie) of Nelliston, NY; and his grandchildren, Derek, Alysia, Normand and Thomas Vance. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
