He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Russell and Isabelle Russell (Burns); his son-in-law Robert Sturgeon; his siblings, Louis, Clayton, Ruby and Betty; and his in-laws, Pauline Boucher, Larry Berger, Harold Berger, Nancy Bowlby (Jim) and Marlene Garceau (Henry "Bozo).
He is survived by: his wife Joan Russell (Berger); his children, Susan Prest (Mark), Linda Sturgeon, Karen Williams (Jerry), Valerie Desrochers (John, Sr.) and Timothy Russell (Deneen); his siblings, Charley and Cathy; and his in-laws, Kathryn Siewart, Beverly Aucoin (Ron) and Rodney Berger (Joyce). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
