He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kenneth Lang and Lida May Lang (Wiley); and his siblings, Margaret Lang, Ruth Rawls, John Lang and Ralph Lang.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Lang (Stone); his sisters, Marion Bollock (Lang), Alice Riehl (Lang) and Katherine; his children, Jeffrey Lang (Monica Burnham-Lang), Bradley Lang and Katherine Lang Granger (Jeffrey Granger); his grandchildren, Sean, Christopher, Michael, Craig Lang, Brooke, Ryan Lang, Nicole Burnham, Alexander and Caroline Granger; and his great grandchildren, Jeremy, Kyle, Emily Lang, Carter, Autumn Lang, Quinn and Henry Lang.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Hope Lodge in Burlington.
