With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Mashia of Essex, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2026 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oliver Mashia and Beverly Joyce Irish; his sister-in-law Lisa Mashia; and his niece Izzy. He is survived by: his significant other Pam Mashia; his children, Lauren Gilbert (Ben Whitcomb) and Tanner Mashia (Mariah Litchfield); his grandchildren, Wyatt, Wrenna Gilbert and Bryson Mashia; his pets, Duke and Cooper; his siblings, Cheryl Esty (Tom), Michael Mashia (Theresa), Ricky Mashia, Mark Mashia (Caroline), Laurie Meyer (Chris) and Allen Mashia (Marylin); his brothers-in-law, Ralph Vezina III (Jared Covell), Craig Hayford (Lisa) and Chad Vezina; and his pets, Buck, Hooch, Grand and Oakley. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
