She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Champine and Elsie Champine (Greeno); her sister Joyce Champine; her stepsiblings, Margaret Christie and Wayne Champine; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Gresham and Steve O'Bara.
She is survived by: her husband William V. "Bill" Pratt; her daughters, Tammy Pratt of Fair Haven and Roselie MacMurray (Shawn MacMurray) of Wallingford, Vermont.; and her siblings, Gary Champine, Linda O'Bara, Shelly Gresham and Sandy Hale. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 50 (378 VT-4A, Castleton, VT 05735).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Verna's memory, in honor of her remarkable strength and the courage she showed throughout her battles with cancer.
