In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Albert leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Albert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert F. Downing Sr. and Emma A. Downing (Stevens). He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Downing; his grandchildren, Felisha Sutton (Riley Sutton) and Orrin Olmstead; and his siblings, Richard Downing (Tracy Downing), Dusty Downing (Eva Downing), Sharon Emerson, Joyce Meyette and Janice Emerson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Topsham United Presbyterian Church (4 Harts Rd, Topsham, VT 05076).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sonny's name to East Corinth General Store's Pay It Forward Fund, which helps locals supplement food needs during the holidays and beyond.
