It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernard Keefe (Fairfax, Vermont), who passed away on November 7, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bill (Denise) and Jack (Sally); and his brother-in-law Stuart Sutherland. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Grace Keefe (Paradee); his children, David (Marie) of Fairfax, Heidi Recupero (Bob) of Ripton, Brian (Leslie) of Manchester, Donna Barton (Jim) of Morrisville, Mark (Kelly) of Huntington, Bernard (Heather) of Georgia, Barry (Margo) of Fairfax and Maureen (Dave) of Elmore; his siblings, Mary Sutherland of North Adams, MA, David (Polly) of Wilmington, NC, Judy Woodruff (John) of Waterbury and Susan Keefe (Richard) of South Burlington; Mabel Vaughan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

“I am just now learning of the passing of a gentleman who had such an impact on my life as a high school student. I got to know Mr Keefe in his capacity as advisor to the Student Council. I remember traveling to Otter Valley with Mr and Mrs Keefe and at least one other classmate to attend the Regional Student Council meeting. He was an excellent advisor of that group and I learned so much. I also had Mr Keefe for World History. My sympathies to his family. RIP Mr Keefe!”
