She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Chaffee, Sr. and Edwina Chaffee; her husband Charles Hugh Peterson; her brothers, Wayne Chaffee, Robert'Rabbit'Chaffee and Craige Chaffee; and her stepmother Jean Chaffee.
She is survived by: her half-sisters, Joanne Cooper, Izola Washburn, Joyce Clark and Linda Dexter; and her children, Susan I. Metayer (Vincent) of Hyde Park, Jennifer P. Boyden (Eric) of Richmond and Timothy H. Peterson of Waterbury. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
