She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Ricard and Ina Devino Ricard; her husband Arthur Pfenning; and her children-in-law, Anne Patricia Kron Pfenning, Rollin English, David Forrest, Arthur Stevens and Douglas Newton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Steele (Joseph) of Fair Haven, Mary Newton of Brandon, Rhoda Hopperstad (Elden) of Chase City, VA, Ann Pfenning of Brandon and Clara Hayes of Rutland; her grandchildren, Sarah English, Carly Stevens, Elizabeth Pfenning, Brian Pfenning, Benjamin Pfenning, Molly Newton, Michelle Laughlin, Heidi Forrest and Michael Forrest; and her great grandchildren, Brianna Stevens-Clark, Dylan Stevens-Clark, Raegan Spencer, Makenna Gatchet, Maci Gatchet, Tristyn Laughlin, Korbin Laughlin, Maverick LaRock, Miles LaRock, Harper Pfenning, Margot Pfenning and Darcy Wakefield. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home (26 Franklin St, Brandon, VT 05733). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church.
