She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward LaPointe and Anna LaPointe; her stepmother Gwendolyn LaPointe; her brother Lawrence LaPointe; her son Robert Martin; and her granddaughter Shannon Sweet.
She is survived by: her significant other Robert Ek; and her children, Robin Kirby, Vicki Shepard, David Martin and Stephen Shepard. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
