George Hartley Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Hartley of Hubbardton, Vermont, who passed away on January 5, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though George may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his spouses, Joan Hartley and Maryclaire Renner. He is survived by: his son Joseph Hartley; his daughter-in-law Lynn Mayfield; his granddaughter Emma Hartley; and his stepgrandchildren, Emma Lafaso and Kelsey Lafaso.
His contributions to the community, coupled with the love and warmth he shared with his family, will forever be cherished by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
