It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William James Murphy of Hyde Park, Vermont, who passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Murphy and Henry Murphy; his wife Helen Flanders; his son-in-law Kenneth Sweetser; and his great grandchild Porter Earle.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Sweetser, Craig Murphy and Brian Murphy (Lisa); his grandchildren, Abigail Bourgeois (Jordan), Heather Murphy and Billy Murphy; his great grandchildren, Barley Earle, Ryley Earle, Tanner Bourgeois and Theodore Bourgeois; his daughter-in-law Lisa; and his niece Pat Murphy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jesus Catholic Church (315 Brooklyn St, Morristown, VT 05661). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jedediah Hyde Cemetery.
