Mildred Sargent Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Sargent of Johnson, Vermont, born in Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Zach Whiting and Ellen Fisher Whiting; her husband Douglas; her daughter Susan; and her siblings, Arthur, Marion (Locke), Lois (Tatro) and Helen (Neil).
She is survived by: her pets, Kaylee, Sam, Peggy-Sue, Roxie, Rusty and Polly; her sister Alice Whiting (Choice) of Johnson; her daughter Jennifer (Essex Junction); her grandchildren, Laurie (Thomas Gravelin), Ellen (Garrett Lyon) and Benjamin (Gravelin); and her great grandchildren, Clara (Lyon) and Parker (Lyon).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the United Church (100 Lower Main St E, Johnson, VT 05656).
