She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Merriam and Helen Rich Merriam; her siblings, Oreana, Austin (Lillian), Luella (Everett), Rena (Arthur), Rodney (Irene), Bion (Betty), Harland (Dolly), Candace (George) and Flora (Ed); and her daughter-in-law Bernie (Lincoln).

She is survived by: her children, Lincoln Gray (Pam) of Harrisonburg, VA, Kathy Gray of St. Johnsbury and Linell Gray Moss of Harrisonburg; her grandchildren, Emily Collins (Greg) of San Antonio, TX, Katherine Suttles (Ian) of Louisville, KY, Esther Moss of Minneapolis, MN, Henry Moss of Boone, IA and Lucy Moss of Harrisonburg, VA; her stepgrandchildren, Shannon Dapper of Kannapolis, NC, Nick Sjolinder (Emily) of Newport News, VA, Sophia Sjolinder of Charlottesville, VA, Eleanor and Lincoln Collins; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyler, Freddie Dapper and Leo Pascoe. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
