It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Cary of Manchester, Vermont, born in Clayton, New York, who passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Jones and Marguerite Jones (Vosburgh); her husband Elmer Cary, Sr.; and her siblings, Danny Jones, Bill Anger and Kathy Naputi.
She is survived by: her sons, John Finnegan (Erin) of Glens Falls, NY, James Finnegan (Tina) of Glens Falls, NY and Michael Finnegan (Tarra) of West Rupert, VT.; her stepsons, Herb Cary (Rose) of Granville, NY and Terry Cary (Jackie) of Manchester, VT; her brother Alan Jones (Linette) of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, John Finnegan, Jr., Jolene Finnegan, James Finnegan, Jr., Victoria Finnegan, Michael Finnegan, Jr., Amanda Finnegan (Jesse Vise) and Alex Finnegan; and her great grandchildren, Noah Vise and Daniel Finnegan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the United Church of Dorset (143 Church St, Dorset, VT 05251).
