Lawrence W. Ring Obituary

We announce the death of Lawrence W. Ring of Middlebury, Vermont, born in Mount Vernon, New York, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 86. Lawrence will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lawrence’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He is survived by: his wife Susan B. Ring (Bogert) of Middlebury, VT; his children, Bradford L. Ring (Julie) of Manchester Center, VT and Julie R. Stewart (Timothy) of Glenview, IL; his brother Richard Ring (Linda) of Montecito, CA; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Stewart (Melanie), Bailey Ring (Miles), Coleman Stewart, Bridget Ring (Ryan) and Ava Marshall; and his great grandchild Cora Stewart. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial contributions can be made to a new program Larry just helped develop at Middlebury College this past year focused on teaching student leaders conflict resolution and consensus building skills.
