With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Budai of Middlebury, Vermont, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 10, 2025 at the age of 101. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Budai to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Sears and Anson Sears; her husband John Budai; her brothers, Dick Sears, Bud Sears and Bob Sears; and her granddaughter Sarah Budai.

She is survived by: her brother Bill Sears; her children, Sue Rowley (Bill), John Budai (Kathy), Jan Fraga Lincoln (Fran) and Tom Budai (Suzanne); her granddaughters, Rebecca Brown (Ben), Laurie Corbett (Joe), Jill Fraga (Jay), Shelby Chapman-Hale (Will) and Laura Budai; and her great grandchildren, Hannah Corbett, Caroline Corbett, Jack Corbett, Maddie Brown, Graham Leonard, Lila Leonard, Wyatt Chapman-Hale and Liam Chapman-Hale.

During the pandemic she made over 1, 000 masks to give away.

Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
