He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Carl Thiess and Vera Ackerman Thiess; and his brother William Thiess. He is survived by: his siblings, Kevin Thiess and Caroline Hollembaek; his niece Kelly Briezemdine; and his nephew Thomas Hollembaek.
