He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Daniel Blaisdell Ruggles Jr. and Dorothy Johnson Ruggles; his wife Patricia Durkee; his brother Thomas M. Ruggles of Concord, MA; his nieces, Rebecca L. Ruggles of Aurora, NY, Mary Ann D. Ruggles (Molly) of Somerville, MA, D. Fairchild Ruggles (Dede) of Urbana, IL and Pat; his daughter Karen; his son-in-law Clayton Heywood of Peabody, MA; his stepdaughters, Joan Durkee (John McGee) of Newton, MA and Sarah Durkee (Paul Jacobs) of New York City; and also, Estelle Parsons of New York City, Martha Gehman of New York City and Abbie Britton of California.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to Life Bridge North Shore (formerly Crombie Street Shelter) in memory of Dan and Tom's brother, Putnam.
