She was predeceased by: her siblings, Marcia Gillcrist and Dean Hammond; her niece Bernadette Gillcrist; her parents, J. D. Hammond and Margaret Hammond; her son-in-law Ted Beery; and her foster son Kerry Shuttle.
She is survived by: her husband Jerome "Jerry" McArdle; her son Michael (Amy); her grandchildren, Ellis (Jamie), Jake (Amanda) and Thomas (Sharon); her great grandchild Sam; her grandson John; her great grandchild Anthony; her granddaughter Kathleen; her great grandchildren, Brittany (Anthony), Ben (Danielle), Christeen and Chanra (Josh); her daughter Thangrath; her siblings, Peggy Hammond and Jim Hammond (Louise "Weezie"); her sister-in-law Gail Hammond; Summer, Lana and Luke. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Guare & Sons, Barber & Lanier Funeral Home (30 School St, Montpelier, VT 05602). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (16 Barre St, Montpelier, VT 05602). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Montpelier Room of the Capitol Plaza Hotel (100 State St, Montpelier, VT 05602).
Donations in her memory may be made to the Lamoille Valley Family Center, Morrisville, VT or the VT Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
