In the vast expanse of eternity, Joan shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joan farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilford DeForge and Dorothy DeForge (Johnson). She is survived by: her sons, Jerry Fitzgerald of Middlesex, VT and William Fitzgerald of Bradford, NH; her grandchildren, Tyler Fitzgerald of Montpelier, Tara Fitzgerald of Montpelier and John Fitzgerald of Knoxville, TN; and her sibling Shirley Klug. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
The family asks that people consider St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 16 Barre Street, Montpelier, VT, for memorial contributions.
